US DoD contracts C-130 ELINT upgrade for Egypt

Egypt will equip at least one of its Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transport aircraft with an electronic intelligence (ELINT) capability, it was disclosed in early January. According to a notification posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website, the US Air Force (USAF) has contracted Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) to deliver the capability.
